Trekking in the Everest will continue to captivate the imagination of mountaineers and trekkers from around the world. Since its discovery, hundreds of shipments have been made to the highest mountain in the world. Some have ended in disaster, others have found new routes to the top recordings or significant fact. Here are five of the most famous expeditions to Everest ...

1924 - Mallory's expedition

The famous British explorer and mountaineer George Mallory had made a previous attempt at the summit in 1922, an expedition met with disaster when September porters were killed in an avalanche. In 1924 he returned to Everest Base Camp determined to reach the top, causing in one of the most famous expeditions and tragic history of mountain. Â

On June 8, 1924, George Mallory,, climbing with his partner Andrew Irvine, made his second attempt and finally aborted the summit of Everest. Trekking and climbing in dangerous territory, which were spotted by Noel Odell (another member of the expedition) in what appeared to be the second step, a couple of hours to get out of the Summit itself. Mallory and Irvine or drop. Mallory's body was finally discovered in 1999, but Irvine has never been found. The debate continues to rage in the mountain community of whether or not any of them have reached the summit before died.Â

1953 - First successful ascent

29 years after the expedition Mallory, Edmund Hillary (the climber from New Zealand) and Tenzing Norgay (a Sherpa from Nepal), finally confirmed the first ascent of Everest. His visit was part of a British Mount Everest Expedition in March 1953 that was finally decided to conquer the highest mountain in the world. After settling in the base camp of Everest, two members of the question (Tom Bourdillon anda Charles Evans) made the first attempt, but were repulsed at 300 meters from the summit due to bad weather and an oxygen system defective. Two days later, May 29, 1953 Hillary and Tenzing were the best, becoming the first men on the highest point on the planet. Back to the top, Hillary met his partner George Lowe and simply said: "Well, George, who hit the bastard off."

1980 - First Solo Ascent

In 1980, the veteran Italian mountaineer Reinhold Messner has established a record of Everest and trekking in 1978, he and his climbing partner Peter Habeler became the first climbers to make an ascent of Everest without using bottled oxygen, refuting a large number of climbers and Doctors at the time thought was impossible. In 1980 he set another record, making the first solo ascent of Everest (also without oxygen). Â Â Â

1996 Disaster - Everest

1996 was a tragic year for the Everest trek - Fifteen people died, eight of them in one day, in what is the worst disaster on Everest to date.

Power May 10, 1996, more than 30 climbers set out from Base Camp of Mount Everest to make their summit attempts. A series of delays and large number of climbers to climb means many reached the summit after 2pm, much later than is considered safe. On the way down, a sudden snowstorm hit the mountain, burying the landlines used up and hide the way back to base camp of Everest. Because of poor visibility, the climbers were quickly separated and disoriented, and eight of them died of cold. More poignant was the case of Rob Hall - who stayed to try to assist another member of the expedition was stranded at the South Summit. He managed to speak to his wife in the satellite telephone in saying: "Sleep well, my love. Please do not worry too much, "before dying shortly thereafter.

2004 - the fastest ever rise

There are all kinds of files related to ascent of Mount Everest, and in 2004, Pemba Dorji (a Sherpa from Nepal), established impressive - the fastest achieved in the ascent and descent of Everest, there is discussion on the ridge southeast of eight hours and ten minutes.

Old before my time - ha ha any?

Everyone thought I was strange because I do not have the normal teenage activities. I do not like clubbing, etc. etc. See p * ssed. 19 and I love what I love walking, biking, hiking,. trekking etc, etc. I have good friends and family, but they are not of interest only to me. I want to coast to coast and walk. Throughout the UK but do not want to end my own in a large group. grannies and grandpas!

You better not ... you just have unusual interests. It's normal. You just have to think that anyone in this world that have the same interests you.
