Just one hour north of Atlanta, Georgia is a beautiful mountain community of Big Canoe. Located on the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains, the 8,000 acres developed has closed about 2,500 existing homes now have a capacity of about 1500 others.
Big Canoe has been a popular destination for mountain tourists and buyers of second home for many years and is fast becoming a full-time residence for many people because its proximity to business locating in the suburbs north of Atlanta.
Why Big Canoe is so popular? Because there something for everyone to enjoy. To begin, there is a state of 10 million U.S. dollars-again-on-club field of art completed in 2008. Installation is hosting a dinner with excellent views overlooking the mountains, the Black Bear Pub, where golfers can relax after a round of Golf Course Pro Shop, and numerous meeting rooms for conferences and private events.
Then, there are 27 holes of golf with a very active program AMS Windows Genuine Advantage. In addition, there are five or six additional groups that play golf on different days of the week, so no problem finding a place to fit in, not matter what level of play. Both the MGA and LGA offer a wide selection of tournaments in his own words stations from early spring to autumn.
Tennis is another option. There are 10 courts, two indoor courts, five and four clay courts tennis outdoor outdoor hard. The very active Big Canoe Tennis Club participates in both up and Mountains in northern Georgia in the league. The club also offers clinics and events to inspire everyone to learn and appreciate the sport.
Another equipped fitness center is popular 16000 square feet, offering a full range machines and weights, and aerobics and gymnastics, including many traditional classes and classes of water in the indoor heated Olympic swimming pool. There are racquetball, squash, and Wally ball and physical therapy and various professional personal trainer available. Relax in the sauna and enjoy the bar juice after a workout.
If the pool is your thing, there are three pools to choose from. The zero-entry pool overlooking Main Lake Olympic Disharoon complete with a sandy beach and swimming in the lake. Then there are the new Olympic size pool in the Lynx section of the community and the Olympic pool at the gym. Remember the collapse of rocks at the lake and Disharoon canoes and rowing boats provided with a free subscription or visit facilities in the main pool.
Moreover, try 25 miles of marked trails for hiking that lead to waterfalls and views cut breath throughout the liquidation of the community.
