A word of caution when buying this type of knife, many dealers do not know the differences in the models. I saw the two brick and mortar shops and online stores that sell the knife under the wrong name wrong so be careful! It may be worth paying a little more than a good provider reputation to ensure it is getting exactly what you want.

There are three (not two) Knives Gerber LMF II ASEK on the survival and infantry. Most people think there were only two kinds of freedom. Here are the differences.

The Gerber LMF II ASEK version is comes with the sheath, knife, two leg straps, knife safety, knife sheath and security. The knife blades for added security can be found on the handle. The ASEK is available only in color INFRA green foliage and is resistant-RED.

The Gerber LMF II version of survival comes with the sheath, knife, two leg straps, the safety knife and sheath knives security. The knife blades for added security can be found on the handle. SURVIVAL version is only available in camel brown. The infrastructure is not resistant to red.

The Gerber LMF II version comes with the Infantry of the car, and a leg strap. The infantry version available in foliage green, camel brown, and my favorite ... black.

There is one important thing you need to know. From January 2008 to April 2008 these steel knives has been temporarily replaced by Sandvik 12C27 SS 440A U.S. SS. In May 2008, production was resumed with the original steel. Gerber had to change grades of steel due to lack of material available. 440A U.S. SS was the closest they could get.

These are great knives and I highly recommend. They are excellent for hunting, camping, survival, and even saw action in foreign countries. If you are looking for a solid knife fixed blade can not go wrong with One of these models.

What the military / How should the strategy to my brother Marine.
