You may not think of walking as a dangerous activity and, in fact, ninety percent of the time is not dangerous and allows millions of people with great pleasure and often a sense of adventure. It is easy to forget, however, that often in nature and far from civilization, and when Accidents occur even significantly lower accident can quickly become serious if you're not prepared.

These are some safety tips to ensure basic travel trips that are not land into trouble.

Tip # 1 - Consider having a friend of a friend.

If you go for a short hike in a nearby area, which is a busy area, with easy ground, then it is often not necessary to worry about the only part. However, if you're hiking through wild woodland, perhaps with winding roads and steep gorges, then the possibility of losing or keeping the wound becomes very real and you should consider carefully whether or not you should head on hers.

Have a partner and can have many benefits, especially if that partner is an experienced hiker.

When it is simpler "two heads are better that "and if lost or run into difficulty is much less likely to panic if you have someone with you to help resolve the issue. If you suffer an injury, then have someone with you to administer first aid and if necessary help, not only can be useful, but can literally save your life.

Tip # 2 - Let someone know where it goes.

As a novice hiker, you should probably stick to clearly marked and well traveled routes and should not begin to deviate from these routes and start "Explore" until you've gained some experience and also had the opportunity to learn and practice the basics of map and compass. However, it will take some time before it is ready to tackle some more adventurous excursions, and during that time, possibility of lost or injured and need assistance arises.

For this reason, always tell someone where you are going and when you expect to return so they can send a search team if you do not return as scheduled.

Tip # 3 - Take along some equipment base.

Although there is no need to take everything including the kitchen sink with you, it is good idea to always carry kit basic survival "with you and your hiking club will give excellent advice on the type of items to include.

The kind of things we are talking about here could include matches and lighters, a first aid kit, a knife (something more appropriate for a case simply stunning one hundred gadget) and a flashlight.

It is also a good idea to have a map and compass with you and a fully charged mobile phone.

Tip # 4 - Enjoy more than a few basic provisions.

Water or other liquids, such as sports drinks are clearly essential, as you can lose a lot of fluids, even for a short period of time on a hot day. Dehydration can significantly reduce your physical performance. However, you must remember that water weighs approximately 8 pounds per gallon, so take enough but not too much.

If you plan to reduce the amount of water that can lead the planning and drinking local river, do not. Natural water sources in May Look Inviting, but they are often responsible for bacteria and can make you very sick very quickly.

Also bring enough food for you. There is no pleasure to be hungry at the exit, but remember that you can last much longer without food, without water you can so if it is a trade-off carry more water and less food.

Tip # 5 - Use your common sense.

It is too easy when you go to the desert to be carried away by his enthusiasm and treat all kinds of things that in retrospect, we realize quickly was simply stupid. Mother Nature can be beautiful and comfortable, but quite indifferent to their fate when you do something stupid.

Joining your local hiking club will put the resources of the club at your disposal and allow you to get advice and information on all aspects of hiking, including such things as which are the best waterproof hiking boots to buy. It will also allow you to make new friends and companions for those more adventurous hiking trips.
