Many of the 400 acre High Park were donated by George Howard, the first Toronto
formally trained architect, in 1873. Well-maintained trails connect
Gardens on the west bank of the forest land on the east side. A highlight of
Grenadier Pond Park is supposed to be the name of British soldiers fell
