Coyotes are increasing in number does not decrease for there to be an endangered species. Unfortunately people to eat and become fat and get human habitation to get what they can, which can include pets and even young children. Here are the guidelines of Department of Game and Fisheries:
To avoid problems with coyotes, people should follow these guidelines from the Department of Fish and Game:
- Never feed a coyote - intentionally feeding coyotes puts pets and other residents of the area at risk and it is against the right to food coyotes or other wildlife. In addition, people can inadvertently feed coyotes, leaving food for pets or garbage where it can get. Feed pets indoors or promptly remove outdoor dishes, bird feeders at night bags provision of pet food indoors and use trash cans with lids that close the clamp.
- Remove brush and dense weeds from the housing world - Reduce protective cover for coyotes and the sector less attractive to rodents. Coyotes and other predators may be attracted to areas where rodents are concentrated like woodpiles and areas of seed storage.
- Protecting children - although rare, coyotes are known to attack and seriously injure young children. Never leave children unattended in areas known to be frequented by coyotes, even in a familiar environment like a backyard.
- Protecting animals and livestock - Keep small pets such as cats, rabbits and small dogs indoors, especially at night. They are easy prey preference. Coyotes have been known to be responsible a large number of cat disappearances in residential district only.
- Use negative reinforcement - If coyotes are present, make sure they know they are not welcome. Make loud noises, throw rocks or spray with a hose. To keep coyotes wild or to prevent a coyote from becoming habituated to humans, it is important that the Coyotes keep their human natural caution.
If coyotes are causing problems and endanger his family and animals, coyotes should be addressed. It would be imprudent to coyotes to kill himself for several reasons. Coyotes are not as easy to kill than you might think. They often travel in pairs or in groups and kill one can not improve the situation. If you can not kill outright, which can attack and may have rabies. Even if you succeed, may be dangerous to treat the body.
The best thing to do is call the fish and keeps them, or animal control authorities in your area and ask them to do the work for you. They will not capture the animal and go as was done in the past most problems because politics made it solves. They will kill and get rid of the body in health conditions.
